Used iPhone Deals

The U.S. smartphone market is no longer dominated quite as thoroughly as it once was by the Apple iPhone, but having said that it is still the most popular and looks to be so for the foreseeable future. With the rising cost of new Apple iPhone’s, the used iPhone market is becoming more and more popular, and this attests well to the overall quality and build of the Apple iPhone and its longevity.

The best used iPhone deals are discussed below and the research that went into this article is current only as of the date when this was first written.

Buying a used iPhone tips:

1. Make sure the phone is not stolen (run the IMEI number)
2. Make sure the phone is not carrier locked (unless you plan on using the same carrier)
3. Check for visual damage (photo or in person)
4. Check the specs are they right for you? (storage capacity & features)
5. Is there a warranty? If so for how long and what does it cover?

Considering buying a used iPhone 6, iPhone 6s, or iPhone 6s Plus.

Okay used iPhone buyers this is from my personal history with the iPhone 6 models.

Because the iPhone 6 was originally launched back in September 2014 it’s the oldest model iPhone I would even consider buying now. This doesn’t mean the iPhone 5 or even iPhone 4 aren’t good they are just no longer on my radar personally because 4 year old smartphone technology is as old as I am willing to go when parting with my hard earned money. Back in September 2014 the iPhone 6 was priced at $649 and the iPhone 6 Plus started at $749, and I wouldn’t buy either one now (shocker). I also would not buy the iPhone 6s Plus either (another shocker) and that is simply because the original design did not take into consideration the strengthening required for a much longer/taller phone than prior models. The number of iPhone 6s Plus’s that were in someone’s back pocket when they sat down is astronomical, don’t believe me? Please feel free to peruse EBay or Craigslist for non-functioning iPhone 6s Plus models where the motherboard has become unseated from other vital internal components, and you may even notice a slight but visible bend in the device when held straight up in front of you. So that just leaves us with one and that is the iPhone 6s originally launched in September of 2015 this phone is a keeper. It came equipped with an A9 dual-core processor and 2GB of RAM (100% increase), a 12 megapixel camera, 5 megapixel FaceTime HD camera, 4K video recording at 30 fps, Second-generation fingerprint sensor built into the Home button and either a 32 GB or 128GB model. Wow that’s a lot of tech for little cost.
